Election Day at Goolsby Elementary

You Decide 2004
Students in Mrs. Garner's class worked hard in election committee groups to organize a Goolsby 5th Grade Mock Presidential Election. Students in all Goolsby 5th grade classes were encouraged to watch the presidential debates and then make an informed decision.

Election Day
Goolsby 5th grade students cast their vote for president on November 2, 2004. They voted in the privacy of these outstanding voting booths constructed by Mrs. Garner's booth committee. Election judges monitored the election.

November 2, 2004    George W. Bush won the election in a close race. The final tally was Bush 42-Kerry 40.
